I stubbed my toe and was hopping around in circles with "oh oh ooohh! oh" and Mary said, "Open your face and breathe! That's how I got through labor." So, I opened my face which opened my eyes, woke up my neck which supported my head tall and balanced. Shoulder blades fell back, down and flat. Open chest breathing--long, deep and softly through my heart. Doing all this certainly took all attention off of the screaming toe.
